Was very excited to upgrade to Windows 10, the free upgrade from Microsoft. But turned out to be a nightmare installing it. First, at 50%, my screen went blank for hours after which I decided to turn off my laptop and bring it back up. The msg I got was that windows 10 was not properly installed and had a few choices retry, restore, revert etc. I chose to revert back to my original Windows 7. Great, I got that done after a few tries. But then the touchpad stopped working so I could not try a fix unless I bought an external mouse. Done. The nightmare continued and I tried every avenue to get the touchpad working when luckily one worked. Actually I dont know which one exactly but most likely to totally remove the touchpad and the system will restore to original. Wanted to report this for anyone who is contemplating on upgrading - be careful, be warned, it is not a picnic if things not work right. I am sticking to windows 7. I think the best would be to purchase a system with windows 10 rather than any kind of upgrading.
